Povidone
Iodine(PVP-I)
PVP-Iodine is a
complex of PVP with Iodine which can extinguish bacterial, virus, fungus,
effectively. It is a stable complex with no irritation, which can dissolve
in water completely.
It is used widely as bactericide, virucide and
fungicide for skin/instrument sterilization to protect patients from
infection. It is
also used as microbicide in food industry, animal husbandry, and
aquatic farming. PVP I is often the prior selected iodine-containing
microbicide in most developed countries due to its safety.
